A city-tour around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky includes some historical sites of this city, which was founded by Danish navigator Vitus Bering in 1740. The city has always been a strategic port in the Far East of Russia. Many round-the-world expeditions of the XVIII – XIX centuries visited Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky with the refreshment purposes.A tour to the Avachinsky volcano to the altitude of 860 m above the sea level. Part of the route is through the bed of a dry river. This 45 km drive takes about 2-2,5 hours depending on the road conditions.A 3-4 hours' walking excursion to the mountain Camel (1200 m asl).A cruise along the Avachinskaya bay to a natural preserve – the Starichkov island. Lunch on board. The way to the Starichkov island goes along the Avacha bay passing the so called ID-card of Kamchatka – the rocks "Three Brothers" and lava rock "Devil's finger". You will see the breeding grounds of sea mammals and bird colonies. We also make a stop for fishing in the Tikhaya bay.Getting acquainted with the life, religion and traditions of the local population of the peninsula.A tour to the caldera of Gorely volcano. The route goes along the valley of the river Paratunka. We will make a photo stop at the height of 1100 m at Vilyuchinsky pass. There you will get a formidable view of the valley of the river Paratunka and the volcanoes Gorely and Mutnovsky. Then we go south along a volcanic plateau. Ascent to the crater and to the volcano peak (1829 m asl). Lunch at the top of the volcano. Walk around the craters. If the weather is favorable you will see more than 15 nearby volcanoes.A tour to the river Bystraya. The 120 km drive there takes 2 hours. Arrival at the rafting start point. Preparing the equipment for rafting. Safety measures instructions. Beginning of rafting and fishing. We float down the river without riffles. An experienced guide controls each raft. At the end of rafting, we cook lunch using the caught fish.A visit to the local fish market and a gift shop.
